Malmo’s hopes of qualifying for the last sixteen may be all but over, but they still haven’t given up hope of earning a Europa League spot, and currently sit level on points with Shakhtar Donetsk after their four group matches thus far.

Age Hareide’s side no longer have to contend with league football, after their domestic season came to an end, with the club finishing in a disappointing fifth place after winning the league in 2013 and 2014.

In the Champions League, they have proved to be a difficult test for any side at home, restricting free-scoring Real Madrid to just a 2-0 victory, before overcoming Shakhtar Donetsk by a goal to nil in their second group match on their own turf.

Malmö FF was squashed by Shakhtar Donetsk, 0-4, in their match last November 3 at the Arena Lviv in Lviv.

PSG look all but assured of their place in the last sixteen, despite losing 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on matchday four.

Although relatively comfortable in the group, PSG can mathematically confirm their place in the knockout phase with a victory in Sweden on Wednesday evening.

Laurent Blanc’s side came back from an emotional international break with a 2-1 victory over Lorient in Ligue 1, with Hervin Ongenda and Blaise Matuidi – one of the French players involved in their friendly against Germnay – getting themselves on the scoresheet.
