Braves dominate Marlins behind explosive offense

Atlanta brought its bats to Miami and left with a 9-1 MLB win at loanDepot park. In front of 9,617 fans, the Braves piled up 11 hits and two home runs while holding the Marlins to four hits and a single early run. Chris Sale set the tone with seven efficient innings, and the middle of the order did the rest.

Miami managed just a .138 AVG and .299 OPS on the night, and Sale’s 0.571 WHIP underlined how comfortably he controlled traffic. He induced seven grounders and three fly balls, then handed it off to the bullpen with the game well in hand.
Victor Mederos closed it down with 2.0 scoreless innings and one walk, keeping the Marlins off the board late.
Middle-innings burst breaks it open
After Miami’s first-inning run, Atlanta answered with three in the second, then blew the game wide open with a five-run sixth and tacked on one more in the eighth. Austin Riley homered and drove in three, while Dominic Smith added a home run, a triple, and three RBI as the visitors stacked quality at-bats. Matt Olson and Ozzie Albies each chipped in an RBI and a pair of hits from the heart of the order.
