Davide Frattesi is ready to wear the Lazio shirt. Inter and the Biancocelesti have reached an agreement for the midfielder’s transfer, although the player’s signature is still pending. The deal includes a paid loan of around one million euros and a conditional obligation to buy set at 14 million. Inter will also retain 50% of any future resale.

A return to his roots

For Frattesi, this will be a particularly significant homecoming. Born in Rome and raised in Lazio’s youth academy, the midfielder left the Biancocelesti at a young age to continue his development at Roma. Now, at 26, he returns to the capital through the front door after building an impressive career in Serie A.

Goal-scoring in his DNA

Frattesi is a central midfielder, but one of his main characteristics is his ability to make runs into the box and find the net. With Inter, he made 33 appearances in the 2025/26 season, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. He played 22 matches in Serie A and 7 in the Champions League.

His attacking output was even more significant in 2024/25, when he finished the season with 47 appearances, 7 goals, and 2 assists in all competitions.

A new central role

The move to Lazio could also be an opportunity for him to regain consistency. At Inter, Frattesi often played a key role off the bench, while in Rome he could find more responsibility and a more regular place in the lineup.

The agreement between the clubs has now been reached, but the final formal step is still missing. For Frattesi, however, the meaning is already clear: he returns to his city, aiming to become one of the key players in Lazio’s midfield.
