Italy, Serie A, Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio), 7.34
Mattia Zaccagni has emerged as one of Serie A’s most consistent performers this season, earning the Sofascore Player of the Season trophy with an impressive average rating of 7.34, the highest in Italy’s top level. The Lazio captain, known for his tactical maturity, scored 8 league goals and provided 6 assists across 34 appearances. It’s only fitting that when the trophy reached him, Mattia had a few words to share:

Belgium, Pro League, Christos Tzolis (Club Brugge KV), 7.65
Christos Tzolis had a strong 2024/25 campaign with Club Brugge, scoring 16 goals and adding 9 assists in the Belgian Pro League. His consistent form earned him a 7.65 Sofascore rating, placing him at the top of league’s performers. Still only 23, the Greek winger has become a key figure for Brugge, combining pace and precision.

Czech Republic, Chance Liga, Ewerton (Baník Ostrava), 7.60
Ewerton, the Brazilian left winger, had a great 2024/25 season with Baník Ostrava, scoring 13 league goals and adding 4 assist to the score.

France, Première Ligue Féminine, Melchie Dumornay (Olympique Lyonnais), 8.24
Melchie Dumornay shone for Lyon in 2024/25, scoring 16 goals in the French league and 22 in all competitions. She also impressed in the Women’s Champions League, with 6 goals and 2 assists, earning a second straight Young Player of the Season award. Her consistency and impact made her a clear winner of the Sofascore Player of the Season trophy.

England, Women’s Super League, Mariona Caldentay (Arsenal), 7.90
In her debut 2024/25 season with Arsenal, Mariona Caldentey played 36 times across competitions, recording 18 goals and 9 assists – including 9 goals and 5 assists in 21 Women’s Super League matches. Her performances helped steer Arsenal to the Champions League final, and she was rightly named WSL Player of the Season. And of course – Sofascore’s Player of the Season!

Qatar, Stars League, Akram Afif (Al-Sadd), 8.37
Akram Afif stood out again in the 2024/25 Stars League, finishing the season with 23 goals across all competitions for Al Sadd (including 18 league goals) and helping his team lift the league title. Those accomplishments align perfectly with earning him Sofascore’s Player of the Season Trophy for the Stars League.

Serbia, Mozzart Bet Superliga, Bibars Natcho (FK Partizan), 7.57
Veteran midfielder Bibars Natcho led Partizan’s charge in the 2024/25 Serbian SuperLiga, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 15 league goals in 35 appearances across all competitions. He also added 13 assists to his total score. Unsurprisingly, Natcho’s performances earned him the Sofascore Player of the Season trophy for Partizan.

Croatia, HNL, Martin Baturina (GNK Dinamo Zagreb), 7.45
Martin Baturina earned the Sofascore Player of the Season award for Croatia’s HNL, finishing with a 7.45 rating, the highest across the league for the 2024/25 season. In 33 league matches for Dinamo Zagreb, the attacking midfielder delivered 4 goals and provided 11 assists. All that got him a transfer to Italian Serie A club – Como. Reflecting on the honor, Baturina shared:
