Bayern Munich suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands on Inter Milan on Thursday.
The game was their fourth and final International Champions Cup match following matches against Arsenal, AC Milan and Chelsea.
Even though the German team put up a determined performance against their Italian counterparts, the defeat was a bum way to end their overseas preseason.
Before Thursday, Bayern had already lost to Arsenal and AC Milan and while scraping through to a narrow win against Chelsea on Tuesday.

Events on at the National Stadium in Singapore took a wrong turn for Bayern when Eder Martins ghosted in to fire Inter ahead in the 8th minute.
He is not the tallest neither the most physical striker, the Italian, but he somehow got the better of Mats Hummels, Felix Götze and David Alaba to head home Antonio Candreva’s cross.
20 minutes later the same player compromised Carlo Ancelotti’s defence again, and in practically the same fashion.
This time the cross was swung in from the left wing by Ivan Perisic with Eder arriving perfectly in the box to again nod home.
That was all in terms of goals with Bayern mounting a second-half resurgence that ultimately failed to yield results.
Ancelotti unfazed by another defeat
Though the Italian coach had bemoaned his side’s 4-0 loss to AC Milan the previous week, the 58-year-old refused to let Thursday’s setback dampen his moods.
The Bayern trainer instead took positives from his team having had the chance to play against high profile teams to improve their readiness for yet another testing campaign.
“We planned this trip and were happy to come here. We have had a good test and some important matches to improve our condition,” Ancelotti told reporters.
“It was good to be here and now we go back and will prepare for the German Supercup with the full squad.

“The result is the least important thing in games like this, the performance is what we are more concerned with. The loss to AC Milan was not good but today we played well.
“Yes, we conceded poor goals but we generally controlled the game. We played Chelsea just two days ago, so I didn’t want to give a lot of minutes to those who took part in that match.
“I used a lot of youngsters from the academy and I honestly thought they did really well.”
