Serie A Fantasy Picks — Round 6

Serie A’s sixth matchday kicks off tonight at the Bentegodi stadium with Hellas Verona vs. Sassuolo, a game that will open a highly anticipated round both on the pitch and in fantasy football. The weekend will close with an Italian classic: Juventus vs. AC Milan, kicking off on Sunday, October 5th at 8:45 PM. We’ve selected eleven players to monitor, including certainties, potential surprises, and low-cost options. Let’s take a closer look.

Formation: 3-4-3

Goalkeeper

After a few lapses, Inter seem to be back on track. Sommer can aim for a clean sheet and represents one of the safest choices of the day.

Defenders

Born in 2005, he has taken over the right flank at Cagliari with surprising maturity. He can deliver another solid performance: defensive reliability and the possibility of scoring bonuses thanks to his frequent offensive runs. A low-cost name that could surprise.

Marco Palestra

The leader of the Giallorossi defense, he’s coming off a very convincing start to the season. Roma boasts the best defense in the league, having conceded only one goal, while Fiorentina is struggling to score in front of goal. He brings solidity and also has a penchant for scoring from set pieces: a profile worth considering.

Gianluca Mancini

Parma’s left-back has one of the highest ratings in the team (7.08). He also has pace, runs, and a very interesting left foot. Not to mention that he’s a potential target in the penalty taker hierarchy.

Emanuele Valeri

Centrocampisti

He’s not 100% fit, but Tudor seems intent on using him from the start. A key match at the Stadium against AC Milan, where he’ll try to be the game changer. A bold choice, but one that can pay off for those who believe in it.

Khephren Thuram

Coach Juric’s Atalanta are decimated by injuries (nine reported absentees), and the Serbian talent could become the beacon of attack. With a refined foot and a long-range shot, Samardžić is a potential key player.

Lazar Samardzic

Antonio Conte never leaves him out: his balance, runs, and physicality. Against a struggling Genoa side away from Marassi, he can make an impact.

Anguissa

Calling him a “simple winger” would be an understatement. The Dutchman is a complete weapon in Chivu’s game: pace, physical impact, and a constant presence in the penalty area. He has all the makings to leave his mark.

Dumfries

Forwards

The young Argentine will challenge Pisa’s defense, still inexperienced at this level. He can use his hunger and constant movement to find the back of the net. Intriguing.

Santiago Castro

Taty is in excellent form, while Torino’s defense is shaky to say the least, having conceded 10 goals in the first five matchdays. Sarri’s attack is ready to score.

Castellanos, Lazio

The round opens with his match: Verona vs. Sassuolo. Pinamonti has the instinct to take advantage of even the slightest lapse in concentration from the Gialloblu defenders.
