Sofascore continues to hold its ground among the world’s leading sports platforms. In Sensor Tower’s State of Mobile 2026 report, Sofascore is listed among the top performers globally across downloads, monthly active users, and in-app revenue growth.
The report analyses mobile usage across major markets and categories, with Sofascore highlighted in the Sports segment. This category remains one of the most resilient areas of the sports app ecosystem, even as betting, fantasy, and streaming apps continue to reshape user behaviour.
Consistent Performance on a Worldwide Scale
On a global level, Sofascore finished 6th worldwide by downloads in 2025, placing it among the most used sports platforms in the world. At the same time, Sofascore ranked 5th globally by monthly active users, confirming that its audience is both large and engaged.

Perhaps more importantly, Sofascore also placed 3rd worldwide for growth in MAU. This shows that the platform is not just maintaining its position, but still attracting new users at a strong pace across multiple regions.
Indonesia and Brazil Lead the Way
Some of Sofascore’s strongest results come from high-growth football markets. In Indonesia, the platform ranked 2nd by downloads, 1st by MAU, and 1st for MAU growth, making it the fastest-growing major sports platform in the country.

Brazil delivered equally impressive figures. Sofascore ranked 3rd by MAU, 6th by in-app revenue, and 4th for IAP revenue growth, highlighting both strong user engagement and increasing commercial potential in one of the world’s biggest football markets.
Europe Shows Steady Expansion
Sofascore’s momentum is also clearly visible across Europe. In Italy, the platform ranked 5th by MAU, alongside 4th for MAU growth and 5th for IAP revenue growth, showing balanced growth across both users and revenue.
In Spain, Sofascore placed 5th for MAU growth and 4th for IAP revenue growth, while in Germany it ranked 1st for MAU growth, leading all sports apps in user expansion in the market.
Emerging Markets Drive Revenue Growth
Beyond traditional football hubs, emerging markets played a major role in Sofascore’s performance. The platform finished 2nd for IAP revenue growth in Vietnam and 5th in Argentina, confirming strong monetisation trends outside Europe.

In Mexico, Sofascore ranked 3rd for IAP revenue growth, underlining its growing relevance across Latin America and its ability to attract paying users in diverse regions.
A Data-Driven Platform in a Changing Industry
Sensor Tower’s report notes that sports apps reached record-high downloads in 2025, driven by live content, betting platforms, fantasy products, and new engagement formats. While much of that growth is tied to entertainment and streaming, Sofascore’s results stand out for a different reason.
The platform’s performance is built around pure sports data, real-time scores, and statistical insights, rather than betting or broadcasting. This makes Sofascore one of the few global sports platforms growing consistently through data-driven fan engagement.
Still Climbing the Table
Being ranked alongside the world’s biggest sports brands across multiple markets sends a clear message about Sofascore’s position in the industry. It is not just a popular platform, but one of the fastest-growing players in global sports mobile usage.
