Sofascore Brings Innovation to SBC Summit in Lisbon

Sofascore made a strong impression at this year’s SBC Summit, one of the leading global events for sports, betting, and gaming. With a dedicated booth and speakers on stage, we presented the latest updates from the Sofascore platform and joined conversations about the future of the industry.

A Booth for Partners – Present and Future

At our booth, we welcomed partners from across the world, giving them an exclusive look at the new features and tools on the Sofascore platform. From deeper data insights to improved fan engagement options, we highlighted how Sofascore continues to support the industry with solutions built on real-time data and global reach.

Our booth also became a meeting point for new collaborations. By connecting with both existing and potential partners, we showed how Sofascore’s technology can help them reach audiences, boost engagement, and build loyalty.

Toni Jermaniš: Personalisation as the Key to Retention

Sofascore’s Chief Business Development Officer, Toni Jermaniš, joined the panel Why Personalisation is the Key to Retention. The discussion explored how personalisation keeps players engaged by giving them more control and a more relevant experience.

Toni explained how Sofascore balances freedom of choice with tailored recommendations:

“The explorers can explore and can find millions of statistics, matches, or whatever they are interested in regarding sports. But there are other segments in the app where we deliver them suggestions – we think you will like this. Some users believe they know better than the algorithm, but even with them, if you target them at certain periods with the right events, you can reactivate them. I think it’s important to have both.”

Filip Komljenović: Rethinking the Affiliate Landscape

Another Sofascore voice at the event was Filip Komljenović, Sofascore’s Head of Sales, who took part in the debate Can Innovation Truly Redefine the Affiliate Landscape? The panel questioned whether the industry is simply improving on old models or if it’s ready for a real shake-up in partnerships.

Filip shared his perspective on the balance between innovation and established structures:

“The industry, the affiliate landscape, is mature but evolving. With all the new things coming in, every day is practically something new. CPA and revenue share will continue to dominate. With everything new coming in, they will always take a portion of these deals, but I don’t see in the near future anything threatening the dominance of CPA and revenue share.”
