Sofascore Fantasy Is Live for the 2026 World Cup – Build Your Squad Now

The biggest football tournament in history just got a new dimension. Sofascore Fantasy is live for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and with 48 nations, 104 matches, and six weeks of football ahead, the stakes have never been higher.
The World Cup. Your squad. Your call.
Sofascore Fantasy turns you into the manager. Pick your 15-player squad, set your starting XI, and earn points based on real performances – from the opening match at Estadio Azteca all the way to the final at MetLife Stadium.
The scoring system goes far beyond goals and assists. Points are built from attacking output, passing, defending, and goalkeeping stats – all drawn from real-time Sofascore data. A midfielder earns 5 points for a goal, 3 for an assist, and additional points for key passes, long balls, and successful dribbles. A defender racking up tackles, interceptions, and a clean sheet? That could be your most valuable pick of the round.

How transfers work
The transfer system is designed around the tournament structure. Before the tournament starts, and again before the Round of 32, transfers are unlimited, giving you full flexibility to react to injury news, surprise squad selections, and first-round performances.

During the group stage, you get 3 transfers per round. From the Round of 16 onwards, that increases to 5 per round, with the maximum number of players you can pick from the same team rising gradually – from 3 in the group stage up to 7 heading into the final. Your budget also gets a boost of €5 million when the knockout stage begins.
One token is available for the entire tournament. Use it to activate Triple Captain – turning your captain’s double points into triple – and save it for the moment it matters most.
Live squad changes and captain selection
One of the features that sets Sofascore Fantasy apart: you can make substitutions and change your captain even after a round has started, as long as at least one player in your squad hasn’t yet kicked off. Players lock once their match begins, so timing is everything.

The biggest tournament. The biggest Fantasy.
The 2026 World Cup features a record 48 national teams and an unprecedented 104 matches, with the United States hosting all games from the Quarter-Finals onwards. That means more players to scout, more matchdays to navigate, and more opportunities to climb above your mini-league rivals.
Open the Sofascore platform, build your squad, and get in before the opening whistle on June 11.
