The fifth edition of the Mundo Deportivo Women’s Football Gala once again gathered Europe’s top players under one roof. This year as well, Sofascore proudly joined the celebration by presenting the European Top Scorer Trophy to Claudia Pina.
The event took place at Antiga Fàbrica Damm in Barcelona, a historic venue turned into a stage of football excellence. Out of nine total awards, four went to FC Barcelona players, confirming the team’s continued dominance in European football.
A Season to Remember for Claudia Pina
Pina, one of the brightest stars of both FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, received the Sofascore European Top Scorer Trophy from Anja Gadža, PR & Event Team Lead at Sofascore.
“It’s a pleasure to be here,” said Pina after accepting her award. “It’s recognition for the season I’ve had, how comfortable I’ve felt, and I’m happy to be part of this moment.”
The forward’s hard work and persistence have paid off, she has now become a key player for Barça’s first team and one of the most efficient scorers in Europe. Last season, she inherited Mariona Caldentey’s iconic No. 9 shirt and lived up to it in style, scoring 10 goals in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and 2 in the European Championship.
Looking back on her standout moments, Pina said: “I’d probably choose my goal in the semifinals against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, from outside the box.”

Barça Dominates the Gala
The Mundo Deportivo Gala once again highlighted Barcelona’s strong presence in European women’s football. Alongside Pina, several of her teammates were also honored:
- Ewa Pajor, awarded the MVP Trophy
- Laia Aleixandri, winner of the Mundo Deportivo Special Award for most outstanding player
- Clara Serrajordi, recipient of The Breakthrough Trophy
Other award winners included Chiara Beccari (The Projection Trophy – brightest future), Irene López (Values of Sport Trophy, for her advocacy on mental health), Kelly Smith (Legend Award), Fiamma Benítez (Talent Trophy), and Veronica Boquete (Career Achievement Trophy).

The V Mundo Deportivo Gala Femenina not only celebrated exceptional individual performances but also showcased the growing recognition of women’s football across Europe.
