West Ham United beat Everton 2-1 at London Stadium in Premier League Round 34, with all three goals after the break. Tomáš Souček put in a complete midfielder’s shift, scoring once and closing the night with a Sofascore Rating 8.8. It was a busy 90 minutes that mattered at both ends.

A goal and a goal-line clearance

Souček found the net from one of his two shots, with one on target. His chance quality read 0.28 xG and 0.94 xG on target, showing a well-placed finish rather than a tap-in. At the other end, he produced a goal-line clearance and added one blocked shot. He also won both of his tackles and made three ball recoveries, a solid defensive platform in a tight Premier League match.

Passing and control in midfield

On the ball, Souček completed 40 of 47 passes, including 26 of 30 in the opposition half and 14 of 17 in his own half. He attempted five long balls, completing one. With 54 touches and just seven possessions lost, he kept West Ham ticking while the game opened up in the second half. It was tidy, efficient work that helped Nuno Espírito Santo’s side manage the lead.

Duel work and aerial presence

Souček won six of 11 total duels and came out on top in three of five aerial contests. He drew one foul and committed two, which fits a combative but controlled display. The balance showed up on the pitch: useful in the air, reliable on the ground, and alert around his own box.

How it fits his season numbers

Across the Premier League season, Souček’s profile remains that of a two-way midfielder. He has 31 appearances, 1,882 minutes, and five league goals. His passing accuracy sits at 77.28%, with nine key passes. Defensively, he has 34 tackles, 16 interceptions, and 75 clearances, plus a 58.33% aerial duels won rate.
