Spurs blast past Timberwolves 133-95 to level up the tempo in San Antonio

The San Antonio Spurs turned the Western Conference semifinals into a statement night, rolling past the Minnesota Timberwolves 133-95 at Frost Bank Center in front of 19,185 fans. The No. 2 seed never trailed after the opening minutes, winning every quarter and leading for 46:01 with a largest gap of 47. San Antonio shot 50% from the field, hit 16 threes, and knocked down 27 of 33 free throws to coast home.
San Antonio set the tone early

Keldon Johnson battled to 9 points and 10 rebounds, and Luke Kornet added 3 blocks as San Antonio finished with a 9-2 edge in swats.
Timberwolves can’t solve the defense
Minnesota coughed up 22 turnovers and shot 30% from three (9 of 30). Jaden McDaniels (12 points on 6 of 10) and Naz Reid (11 points, 3 threes) provided sparks, while Julius Randle, Anthony Edwards and Terrence Shannon Jr. each scored 12. Rudy Gobert grabbed 10 boards but went 3 of 9 at the line, and the visitors never found a sustained rhythm.
