Torneo by Sofascore is now fully self-service

Running a local competition just got a lot simpler. Torneo by Sofascore has just received its biggest update since launch, and the change is straightforward: organizers can now create and manage competitions completely independently, from day one.

Full control from the start

Until now, getting a competition live on Sofascore required going through the team at every step – from setting up the competition to adding teams, players, and venues. That slowed things down for organizers who just wanted to get started.

That changes with this update. Any organizer, a local football league in Brazil, a basketball club in Turkey, a tennis tournament in Italy, can now build their competition on Torneo by Sofascore entirely on their own: adding teams, players, matches, venues, and settings without any input from Sofascore until they’re ready to go live.

Prepare everything before going live

A key part of the update is a new Not Published mode. Organizers can now prepare competitions, squads, venues, and events, experiment with formats, and fix any issues, all without affecting anything already live on the platform.

Once everything is ready, they move through a new pre-publish flow with transparent statuses and clear feedback on what, if anything, needs to be adjusted before going live to a global audience.

Always know where things stand

A dedicated notification center keeps editors informed at every step — when competitions or entities are approved or rejected, and exactly where attention is needed. Combined with improved status visibility, organizers now have far more control and predictability when managing complex, multi-sport seasons.

The foundation is in place

This update is the foundation for the next phase of growth for Torneo by Sofascore. The self-service model removes the operational bottlenecks that were limiting how many organizers could get started on their own, and further features and improvements will follow in the weeks and months ahead.
