It has been just two weeks since the NBA 2025-26 season got underway, but the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder, are already shattering records for fun. OKC are 7-0 already, and they are showing no signs of slowing down as they pipped San Antonio Spurs to the top spot. The playoffs race in the Western Conference is already starting to heat up as teams gear up for a busy schedule ahead after the beginning of the NBA Cup.

With a flawless record of 7 wins from as many games, Oklahoma City are already setting the pace. They defeated Sacramento Kings 107-101, followed by a 127-108 win over Washington Wizards. Another 137-106 win over the Pelicans helped Mark Daigneault’s team take over the top spot.

Denver Nuggets have slipped to sixth after their narrow loss to Portland. Nikola Jokić proved his worth in gold with 21 points against the Pelicans. 

Houston Rockets stand at 3-2 after a mixed start to the season. After back-to-back losses last week, Kevin Durant channelled his inner god mode to bag 31 points and inspire his team to a win against the Raptors. Durant top-scored once again as the Rockets defeated Boston Celtics. 

Golden State Warriors have endured a tough end to the week. With wins over Grizzlies and LA Clippers, Stephen Curry and Co. succumbed to back-to-back defeats against Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers. 

Chris Finch has overseen a 3-3 record so far at Minnesota Timberwolves. They lost to Denver and LA Lakers before picking up a crucial win over Charlotte Hornets. Julius Randle top-scored with 30 points against Charlotte after scoring 20+ points in both their previous defeats.

Nikola Jokić (8.64) is close behind on third, while Austin Reaves (8.46) also features in the top five. Reaves also picked up a perfect 10 rating against Sacramento.
