FIFA Club World Cup Fantasy Picks: Quarterfinals

We’ve reached the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup, and it’s time to unveil our ideal starting XI for all Fantasy managers out there. We’ve focused on players in form, central to their team’s tactical setup and that proved consistency during the competition so far.

Our captain for this round? Jude Bellingham. A former Borussia Dortmund player, he’s ready to steal the spotlight against his old team.

🧤 Yassine Bounou (Al Hilal vs Fluminense)

The Moroccan goalkeeper is a reliable presence between the posts: leadership, international experience, and excellent reflexes on close-range shots. Against a Fluminense side that loves to attack through the middle, he could be decisive and maybe even walk away with a clean sheet.

🔵 Reece James (Palmeiras vs Chelsea)

Finally fully fit, the Blues captain could make a real difference with his runs down the flank. Palmeiras often leaves space in transition, so James can exploit that, even with shots from distance, as we saw against Benfica.

💪🏿 Kalidou Koulibaly (Al Hilal vs Fluminense)

A defensive powerhouse with tons of experience. His ability to physically dominate the box will be key against Fluminense’s technical and mobile attack. Great for interceptions and aerial duels, plus, don’t underestimate his heading ability in set pieces!

🟢 Joaquín Piquerez (Palmeiras vs Chelsea)

A key piece in Abel Ferreira’s system. Consistent in pushing forward and delivering dangerous balls into the box. His average Sofascore rating is really solid and he could become a serious problem for Chelsea’s sometimes shaky defense. Potential for both attacking and defensive bonuses.

🇵🇹 Pedro Neto (Palmeiras vs Chelsea)

Dribbling, pace, and constant attacking bursts. The Portuguese winger has everything needed to light up the match against Palmeiras. Could easily contribute with a goal or assist thanks to his individual brilliance.

🫡 Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Al Hilal vs Fluminense)

A complete midfielder who combines physicality, timing, and shooting quality. In what could be a tightly contested match, he has the potential and the physicality to break the deadlock with a long-range effort or a well-timed header.

🤫 Arda Güler (Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund)

Under Xabi Alonso’s guidance, he’s gaining consistency and confidence. His creativity between the lines could pose real problems for Dortmund’s midfield. A smart, low-cost option with high upside for your fantasy midfield.

©️ Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund) – Captain

The most anticipated “ex” of this round. Now a Real Madrid leader, Bellingham is ready to strike against his former teammates with his trademark runs and charisma. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to face his brother Jobe, who’s suspended. Still scoreless in this tournament, but we all know the ex-player goal is a universal law.

💨 Bradley Barcola (PSG vs Bayern Munich)

Currently enjoying a rapid rise. Bayern tends to leave gaps out wide, and Barcola has the pace and technique to exploit them in open space. A bold but potentially rewarding pick for risk-takers.

🚜 Serhou Guirassy (Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund)

The Guinean striker is in top form and just scored a brace against Monterrey. With his strength and goal-scoring instincts, he could trouble even a seasoned defense like Real’s. Also, keep an eye on him from the penalty spot…

⚡️ Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund)

The most unpredictable weapon in Real Madrid’s attack. His explosive pace will be a constant threat to Dortmund’s backline. In such a high-stakes game and with Mbappé not yet at full fitness, he’s expected to take responsibility and carry the attack on his shoulders.

Now it’s your turn, managers. Make the most of these insights and trust your instincts. Good luck with your lineups for this gameday!
